7stanes Kirroughtree – 2010 Trail Centre of the Year.
Famous for its technical singletrack and McMoab's granite slab, there is also an excellent Blue route and plenty of hidden trails too. Kirroughtree is one of our favourite sites for coaching, there is plenty of features here to ride from rocky sections, rooty sections and plenty of berms.
7stanes Mabie
A perfect trail centre for improving your bike skills. There is a purpose built skills loop here with drops offs, berms, jumps and a mini slab. There is also some excellent singletrack and some big views on a clear day. This is another popular centre that we use for coaching.
7stanes Glentress
This is possibly the best trail centre in the UK. Glentress has something for everyone, from family trails right through to a jump park. Again this is another one of our favourite centres for teaching at because of the massive choice of trails here.
7stanes Dalbeattie
Dalbeattie is famous for its granite features, including The Slab and The Terrible Twins. The red route is one of the most demanding in Scotland, line choice and momentum are the key to making this difficult track as smooth as possible. There are also blue and green graded trails.
7stanes Ae
Ae forest is home of the infamous “Coffin Jump” for those who want to try out the downhill tracks. There are also more chilled out trails like the Green and Blue routes. In addition to this there is also a good red route there for those looking for a bit more of a challenge.
7stanes Innerleithen
Innerleithen is a trail centred aimed at the more experienced rider, the trails on offer here are Red, Black and Downhill courses. The Red trail does include a lot of climbing so riders need to be fit as well. The Downhill courses here are brilliant and to get the most out of them the uplift service is excellent.
7stanes Newcastleton
Newcastleton is a good fun trail centre with routes for all levels. The trails here do tend to be shorter than the other centres though, so it is a good one to fit in if you are running short on time. Well worth a stop though if you get the chance too!
7stanes Glentrool
Glentrool is the furthest West of all the 7stanes sites, this trail centre doesn’t offer any technical riding. But, it does have a good Blue route and a long country ride if you are looking to put some miles in. It is also in the Dark Skies Park which is perfect for some star gazing while you are resting tired legs.
